With a solid background as a certified carpenter for Union Local No. 1597, where he spent a decade honing his skills, Ramon expertly manages complex energy projects from inception to completion.
In his current role, Ramon consistently coordinates with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring project owners are well-informed about the progress of each development. He is instrumental in supporting the CEO and management team at ZGlobal, guaranteeing that all projects stay on track and adhere to scheduled timelines.
Current Responsibilities:
- Conducting feasibility studies for siting generation, transmission, distribution, or substations.
- Providing mapping support and securing rights of way for gen ties, transmission lines, and distribution corridors.
- Identifying regions with potential for renewable energy resources.
- Managing third-party environmental specialists to assess land use and environmental constraints.
- Overseeing the environmental assessments and permitting processes for multiple projects.
- Facilitating interactions with local utilities and government agencies during project phases.
Recent Accomplishments:
- Successfully completed a 230kv transmission line stretching over 18 miles in Southern California.
- Secured Conditional Use Permits for 7 projects, delivering over 890 MW of hybrid and standalone energy solutions.
- Implemented two 30 MW standalone battery projects.
- Managed the development and operation of 6 solar and distributed generation projects totaling 289 MW.
- Oversaw the completion of 7 switching and substations with capacities ranging from 230kV, 161kV, 92kV 34.5kV, and 12kV.
