Christine Vangelatos is ZGlobal’s Senior Managing Director of Engineering and Market Analytics, with more than two decades of experience in day-to-day energy market operations and settlements. She has extensive experience implementing large-scale market systems and providing market settlements design, business analysis, and financial impact assessments, along with a deep working knowledge of the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) Tariff. Christine is an expert in the CAISO nodal market, asset valuation, and economic analysis across a wide range of generation and transmission assets.
Christine has been with ZGlobal since 2006, following a ten-year tenure at CAISO, where she successfully managed market operations testing, analysis, and settlements projects. Prior to joining CAISO, she worked as a Senior Power System Engineer at Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E). Her combined operational, engineering, and market expertise provides ZGlobal clients with critical market insight to support informed investment and operational decision-making.

- Performed curtailment and congestion analyses for a generation portfolio, identifying root causes and developing short- and long-term mitigation plans and bidding strategies
- Led an independent assessment quantifying the potential economic and environmental benefits of the Enhanced Gas Turbine (EGT™) System, providing an independent report to regulators and investors; the analysis supported successful deployment across multiple sites with better-than-expected performance
- Successfully managed bidding and settlements for approximately 3,500 MW of load and nearly 10,500 MW of generation across the Western Interconnection and ERCOT, representing more than $1 billion in transaction value.

Christine holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix, Sacramento.
