Arevon Energy stands as one of the largest renewable asset managers in the United States, managing 6,003 MW of generation capacity and 1,000 MWh of energy storage capacity (www.arevonenergy.com). In Imperial County, Arevon owns significant assets, including C Solar West (182 MW), C Solar South (172 MW), and Mt. Signal 3 (328 MW).
To support the expansion of its utility-scale storage portfolio, Arevon secured a master supply agreement for 2 GW/6 GWh of Tesla Megapacks. Additionally, Arevon recently acquired the Vikings project, which features 150 MWdc of solar power and 600 MWh of battery energy storage. ZG has been integral to the project’s development since its inception, completing all related activities punctually. Arevon has signed an agreement with ZG for continued development services to ensure the project reaches commercial operation by the end of 2023.
Under a development service agreement, ZG assisted Arevon with design and construction tasks. Our completed work has encompassed permitting, interconnection, wheeling, pre-engineering, and pre-construction. Phase I of the project, featuring 600 MWh of Tesla battery storage, successfully reached commercial operation in December 2023. Phase II of the project, featuring 137 MWac Solar reached commercial operation in January 2024.
