Ramon is the Senior Project Coordinator at ZGlobal. Ramon has over thirteen years of operations and maintenance experience in commissioning processes for companies such as United States Gypsum (USG), Cal Energy Minerals, and Simbol Materials. Ramon also worked as a certified carpenter for Union Local No.1597 for approximately ten (10) years. Ramon utilizes his construction and process commissioning experience as he manages energy projects through multiple stages of development toward completion.
Ramon remains in constant contact with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors to keep the project owners abreast of each project’s status. Ramon also supports ZGlobal’s CEO and management team in ensuring that projects remain on task and progress as scheduled. Ramon’s current tasks include:
- Support the feasibility analysis in the siting of generation, transmission, distribution, or substations.
- Mapping support, identifying and securing rights of way alternatives for gen ties, transmission lines, and distribution corridors.
- Delineation of regions of renewable energy resource potential where applicable.
- Manage 3rd party environmental specialists to identify sensitive land uses and possible environmental constraints.
- Manage environmental, and the issuance of conditional use permits for several projects on behalf of ZGlobal clients.
- Interface with local utilities and governmental agencies, both state and federal, during project development and construction.
Recent accomplishments:
- Completion of a 230kv Transmission line in southern California for over 18 miles.
- Completion of obtaining Conditional use permits for 7 projects totaling over 890 MW of Hybrid and standalone projects.
- Completion of the implementation of two 30 MW standalone battery projects.
- Completion of 6 solar and distributed generation of 289 MW, all in operation.
- Completion of 7 switching and substation ranging from 230kV, 161kV, 92kV 34.5kV, and 12kV.
