Joel is an Associate Project Manager at ZGlobal working closely with our Senior Project Manager. Joel is focused on preparing for our clients’ comprehensive project development plans, which include permitting, interconnection, environmental studies, project schedules, and project budgets. Joel coordinates with environmental consultants, utilities, and government agencies while keeping our clients abreast of project status. Joel also administers documentation and technical queries and coordinates tasks into actions with set timeframes.
Joel’s current tasks include:
- Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
- Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
- Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve.
- Prepare budgets & project schedules.
- Analyze risks and opportunities.
- Oversee project procurement management.
- Monitor project progress and manage issues that arise.
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
- Use tools to monitor working hours, plans, and expenditures.
- Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g., contracts and terms of agreement).
Joel is acquiring a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Diego State University.
Recent accomplishments:
- Supports the engineering, design, and construction of the Holtville BESS standalone 30 MW/120 MWh project.
- Assist with the management of four (4) generation projects totaling 550 MW.
- Assisting with the management of two (2) high voltage transmission projects that expand over 150 miles.
